A team of 4 students comprised of, Brady Goetz, Holly Brown, Tymbrie Snobl, and Bryer Ott, represented Iowa State University and traveled to the ASAS/ADSA Midwest Regional meetings being held in Omaha, Nebraska and competed against 12 universities in the Midwest Regional Academic Quadrathlon March 12th and 13th. The contest consisted of 4 portions including an oral presentation, 10 lab rotations covering different species and topics, written exams, and quiz bowl. The team was 3rd in the Lab Practicum Portion and 2nd in the Written Portion. Overall, the team finished in 2nd place of 13 teams total. In addition to the contest, team members were able to network and socialize with students and faculty from various universities and also attend the scientific meetings in which interesting topics were presented and discussed.
